Five years ago in Hong Kong, Wei from the Shaolin school and Shu from the Wudang school were evenly matched in a hand-to-hand combat competition, leading the judges to decide that they would each train a representative to compete again. Five years later, in Pittsburgh, American girl Jane, after losing her job, decides to go to Hong Kong to participate in the hand-to-hand combat competition to win prize money and investigate her missing father’s whereabouts. Upon arriving in Hong Kong, she is robbed by a group of thugs but is saved by Shu.
