This is the story of a group of adorable vegetables that begins with an unexpected accident. On a moonlit night, a group of "vegetables" traveling in a big wagon sings happily as they move along the main road. However, they accidentally get into a quarrel with a small group mainly made up of "clothes," which leads to a battle. In their fight against this gang of clotheslines, boxing shorts, and porcupines, the "vegetables" have an accident with their big wagon and are forced to seek help at a run-down, desolate seafood market.
Here, they encounter a group of pirates who claim to be "too lazy to do anything." While waiting for a tow truck to help, they sit and chat with the pirates, who tell a story about the main character, Asparagus Jonah:
The story takes place a long time ago in another place. The protagonist, Asparagus Jonah, is a messenger. But he is not an ordinary delivery man; he is a messenger of God. Jonah loves his job, and one day, he receives a mission to deliver a message to the people of Nineveh in Ancient Assyria.
Jonah does not like the Ninevites because they not only enjoy lying and stealing but also like to throw fish at people. As a result, Jonah is not in a hurry to complete his mission and instead boards a ship sailing in the opposite direction. The owner of the ship is one of those "too lazy to do anything" pirates. On the ship, he also meets a carpet "merchant," the caterpillar Carl.
Unfortunately, Jonah is swallowed by a giant whale. Inside the whale's belly, another thrilling, exciting, yet fun story unfolds
