James (played by Clark Gable) is an editor at a newspaper, a man full of ambition for his career. For James, the way to realize that ambition is to return to school for in-depth and systematic study. Thus, James enrolls in a tutoring class, where he meets the class teacher, Eric (played by Doris Day). As they spend time together, the distance between James and Eric grows closer, and James finds himself deeply in love with his teacher. However, for Eric, James is just one of his students like the others in the classroom. How can James confess his true identity to Eric?
