In a quiet small town called "Perfection," Mickey (Kevin Bacon) and his buddy Buster (Fred Ward) spend another peaceful day. The two young men feel frustrated and helpless about their dead-end jobs that barely help them make ends meet in this dull town. Finally, they decide to leave Perfection and start their colorful new lives, but just then, the only road out of town inexplicably collapses, and ominous signs start to appear. Weeks earlier, there was a terrifying incident of livestock mysteriously disappearing in town, and geology student Rebecca (Finn Carter) discovered some unusual tectonic activity. Now, everyone has finally pieced together these scattered clues: what is lurking in the dark below their feet?
