The story takes place in East Los Angeles, where Diego (played by René Alvarado) and Pedro (played by David Berón) are a gay couple that has been in love for many years. However, Pedro's fear of coming out forces them to live a concealed life, which makes Diego very unhappy and frustrated. Wesley (played by Steve Callahan) and Johnson (played by Cory Schneider) are also a gay couple who recently moved to East L.A. and are making waves in the local community with their outspoken approach. As time goes by, Diego starts to take notice of Wesley's presence, and Wesley is similarly attracted to the handsome Diego. However, the two kindred spirits cannot freely enjoy the happiness and joy that their relationship brings because of the lingering responsibilities towards their exes and the limitations and criticism brought by their identities and social status, placing Diego and Wesley on a long and rocky road ahead.
